The Lies of Others [Mono-RP] Empty The Lies of Others [Mono-RP]

A fifteen year old stared at the orange hues of the slowly setting sun from the window of her bedroom. A Metapod joined her, balancing on the windowsill to gaze through the transparent pane as the duo awaited the return of Chase's mother.
"She said she was finishing late but this is too late," sighed Chase, taking a few steps back from the window so that she could melodramatically fall backwards and land on the soft sheets of her bed in her frustration. Her mother, Juliette Summers, ran a small daycare here in Cysil City, having started a new practice after the family moved here from their small house in the country. That was a number of years ago now; it had been slow business to start with, but as time went on she had again become renowned for her unique way with Pokémon. Business had gradually picked up as more people came to trust her to take care of their Pokémon friends whilst they were away.

Of course the bad side of this was that Juliette had to spend more and more time away from home, leaving earlier and returning later to make sure that all the Pokémon had the care they needed. The daycare itself wasn't all that far away, just ten minutes on foot, and there were a number of night staff employed to be sure that even when Juliette wasn't there the Pokémon would be comfortable and happy. However Chase's mother had always been one to enjoy her job and with the growing number of Pokémon she was entrusted with looking after each day, she took it upon herself to make sure each of them was well looked after.

After staring up at the ceiling for a good minute or so, Ditrysia gathered her strength and hopped from the windowsill and onto Chase's bed, where a look in the Metapod's eyes caused Chase to sit up.
"Yea I know, sitting around doesn't help anything either," she responded with a small sigh and a half smile born of amusement at Ditri's expression, before getting to her feet. Instead of being bored here she might as well go and find something to eat. The berries she'd bought earlier that day were stacked neatly in the fruit bowl on the dining table, and right now they were tantalizingly staring at her, even through the walls and ceilings of the house. She wasn't supposed to eat them as she was supposed to be making wild berry crumble with her mother when she came home, but Chase had a sweet spot for berries and fruits and with her mother having still not arrived, surely one or two couldn't hurt?

Scooting past her bedroom window as she made to head downstairs, the presence of a person in their small front garden instead demanded her attention. Turning back to the glass pane, Chase looked out and realised it was one of those shady businessmen that frequently visited the house to see her father. The same shady businessmen that she knew were manipulating her father; she just didn't know why.
