RULES

Welcome to the Rinko Region. We hope you enjoy it here (or continue to enjoy it if you are just reviewing the rules)! Please read these rules carefully and follow them, even though there are a lot. Don't worry, they're not too complex and this shouldn't take long!

Site Rules
1. We will absolutely not tolerate any sort of Cyber-Bullying, harassment or anything of the sort on this roleplay site, and doing so will cause in a temporary ban of two weeks, however should it persist, we will ban you from the site permanently. If you come onto this site just to troll, we will not hesitate to permanently ban you immediately.

2. Please make sure you are readable. We can understand that you might not use absolutely perfect grammar out of character, but don't talk with excessive text abbreviations and 1337.  If a staff member requests for you to use better grammar and such you should follow that, however.

3. Listen to the staff members. They are here to help you along and reinforce the rules, so what they say should go. They should not have any ill intent in what they ask of you and will handle things politely, and if they do not you should report them immediately. Other than that, you should listen and follow what they say.

4. You may not have multiple accounts, as in more than one. There is no real reason to create multiple accounts unless you wanted to cheat with things like events or raffles. It is easy for staff to figure out if your accounts are duplicates so you don't have a chance of getting away with it. If you are found with multiple accounts your duplicates will be banned and punishments will be given to your main. If you have someone that uses the same computer as you register, please alert a staff member as soon as possible so they don't get confused.

5. Advertising is not allowed on most of this forum. We do not want links advertising other sites in your signature, the chatbox, or in anywhere else other than the Advertising boards. Things like adoptables in your signature are fine, and if you want to link someone to another site please keep it in PMs. Any rule-breaking advertising links will be removed and warnings will be given.

6. Please do not spam or double post. Spam is just useless clutter and is just plain annoying. Stay on topic and don't post annoyingly short things. We don't like it and it will be deleted in the end. There will also be warnings given to those who spam.

7. Keep things PG-13. This site will have children on it and if we have R rated content we could get taken down! This goes for everything, from OOC discussion on both the boards and the chatbox and IC roleplay content. Links and images depicting excessive blood, gore, or violence along with pornography and other sexual content will be removed and warnings will be given.

Roleplay Rules
1. Please no Godmodding, Metagaming or Powerplaying. Powerplaying is when you take control of someone's character. Only the person who created the character can write if the attack hits or not unless permission is given. For example, you can write "Bob's Pikachu used Body Slam, directing his attack towards Jane's Mareep." However you cannot write, "Bob's Pikachu used Body Slam, slamming into Jane's Mareep which caused the Mareep to faint." Metagaming is when you use OOC knowledge IC. Although you probably know what a Zygarde is, your character most likely will not! Other things like having your character know the thoughts of other roleplayers' characters is also considered Metagaming, as is something as simple as knowing someone else's name even though you were never introduced nor heard it before! Godmodding is basically making your pokemon unbeatable, making moves from the opponent never hit and never making your pokemon faint along with traits that make your characters seem "perfect", basically a Mary/Gary sue.

2. Wait for characters to be accepted before you roleplay with them. Please post your character's profile and wait for it to be looked over and eventually approved. If we find using a character that was never accepted any posts made with that character will be deleted. This is to make sure no Mary Sues get through, as no one likes roleplaying with overpowered and/or flawless characters.

3. Although we have no set word count, we would like for you to post at least a good-sized paragraph for each in character post. We prefer quality over quantity, so if a short post is all you need, then go for it! However, if you continuously post short one-liners or don't give your roleplaying partners enough to work with you would be asked to write more detailed posts. Continuing to post like that will result in warnings.

4. No completely OOC posts in IC threads. It is understandable that you may want to communicate with other people in a thread but please do not make entire posts with just OOC content. If you want to talk OOC do it through PMs, the chatbox, or at the beginning or end of a post. For the latter, just separate OOC comments with double brackets or some other form that makes them easy to tell apart from the rest of the post.

5. Be literate. Roleplaying is like writing a story, and have you ever read a story with bad grammar and spelling? Proofread and spell check and put some effort into making your posts readable. We can understand that some people might not notice their mistakes, but if there are constant typos then you might get a message from the staff.

6. As stated previously, keep all roleplays PG-13 or less. We don't want any excessive violence or graphic details and no sexual scenes, be it with fading to black or through PMs. If you are looking for roleplays like that, we suggest that you went somewhere else.

Chatbox Rules
1. Do not spam the chatbox. Don't flood it with messages too fast or just keyboard mash. If you don't want to be disconnected but there is nothing going on you can post something simple like a period every once in a while.

2. Change the topic if you are asked to by a staff member. If you drift off into an inappropriate topic or if someone is triggered or annoyed by a discussion and a staff member tells you to stop, stop. Staying on that subject will lead to chatbox bans and warnings.

3. Don't stretch the chat. It can be annoying and more often than not will lead to a chatbox clear. Keep images and links, especially long ones, in spoilers. Mistakes can happen, but if you continuously do this on purpose you might be banned from the chat.

4. All other site rules apply. Just because it isn't stated here doesn't mean you can break site rules in the chatbox.

And just a reminder, always use common sense and, most importantly, have fun!
