Hall of the Mountain King [MONORP] Empty Hall of the Mountain King [MONORP]

Post by Lazarus Tue May 27, 2014 10:30 pm

The day was young as a young coordinator stepped into the area known as Yukiyama Mountain Range. He had already passed through Solumina City and just begun to step foot on the path through the mountains designed for hikers and away from the roads the cars inhabited so pokemon would not be frightened away by the roars of the engines. The sky was cloudy, but not a drop of rain or even snow with these cold temperatures to be found.

Justin King looked at the mountains, the holes in them suggesting caves and tunnels that pokemon could inhabit. He breathed in, then out. Ice Pokemon were frequent around here, Ira would be able to take care of them, as well as Beez and the newly acquired Duke the Furfrou that was rather weak, but this could be an opportunity for them to train the unintentional new addition to the team.

The coordinator stopped his walk, entering territory where pokemon would most likely attack. He looked to his three full pokeballs, trying to decide who to take with him on the outside. The cold caused him to shiver as an icy wind blasted past him, causing him to think that even Ira, the fire type, would be cold out here even with her inner fire. Her hair was a bit on the short side, and so was Beezelbub the Lillipup's. That only left the newest edition, Duke.

He picked the pokeball with Duke in it, and tossed it into the air, unleashing the Furfrou who seemed to not be bothered by the cold with his thick poodle hair that had been evolved to be stylized and to protect the furfrou. Justin preferred not to stylize the Furfrou's hair, since it was a fact that the fur helps to protect the furfrou against attacks. To clip some off would be like cutting off an advantage in battle, and cause more harm to the pokemon.

Duke looked to Justin, silent as he simply stared at the coordinator. Duke didn't seem to have entirely bonded with him yet, and was a bit skeptical of this trainer. Justin respected that though, after all he had caught the furfrou by accident out of nowhere and smacked the canine in the nose with it. Justin motioned for Duke to follow, the pokemon obeyed. The journey through the mountains had begun.

A wild Froslass blocks your path!
Hall of the Mountain King [MONORP] Froslass
Level 15 || 3 EXP Giveout
Get past this Froslass that is keeping you from advancing!
Female || Cursed Body
Destiny Bond | Icy Wind
Double Team | Astonish
Block | Leer
A Froslass that travels through the mountains and messes with them by keeping them from advancing. She's not evil, but her methods of entertainment aren't the most kind...

Hall of the Mountain King [MONORP] Empty Re: Hall of the Mountain King [MONORP]

The duo's silent walk in the snowy mountains alone did not last before there seemed to be a stretch of movement before them. A white creature appeared before them that floated in the sky as it waved about. Its body seemed more like a dress and a red band stretched across its body into two protrusions that seemed to be a bow. The arms of the creature stretched from its head and hung as if the were part of hair rather than hands. The face carried two icicles stretching from the top of the head as if it were a head band and in between the two icicles was a purple diamond shaped mark.

The pokemon's name was unknown to Justin, as he had never seen this strange and rather elegant looking pokemon before. He stopped, cautious of the pokemon as it stared at him for a moment, its arms hanging to its side. The pokemon lifted its arms and seemed to giggle as if covered its mouth happily. The froslass merely stood there, its arms waving back and forth as it floated.

Justin blinked, wondering if this pokemon was going to perform any action aside from floating there. Duke began to growl, but he was quickly silenced by Justin wish a hush. The coordinator took a side step to the left. The froslass hovered to the right of itself in unison with Justin's step. The boy took another step, but to his own right, but the froslass mirrored his movements, giving another snicker as she blocked his path.

Justin frowned, "You're not going to let me past are you?" he asked it. The response was a mere giggle as the frosslass rested its arms behind its hollow body and swayed back and forth, twirling its dress like lower half as it seemed to hum a small unrecognizable melody. The coordinator looked to the froslass and then to the path ahead of them, they had only just begun, and Justin wasn't one to give up on an obvious challenge like this.

He looked to Duke, wondering if he should use him for this fight. The furfrou merely looked at the froslass, studying it. Duke was curious about this pokemon, this pokemon was mischievous, like him, but in a different manner. Although now wasn't the time to ask her what her angle was, for right now she was in his way. Duke took a paw step forward, accepting the challenge of the Froslass.

Justin watched as his furfrou stepped out before he could say anything, "I guess you want to fight huh..." Justin spoke, he took his hand away from Ira's pokeball, "Okay, but as soon as I say come back, you come back," he ordered the furfrou. The furfrou was silent for a moment, as if contemplating this, before finally looking back at his trainer with the corner of his eye and giving a woof of acknowledgement.

The frosslass gave a louder giggle and a twirl, rising into the air before floating back down. It looked at the two with gleeful eyes before a beautiful voice in the speech of the pokemon spoke, "This is going to be Fuuuun~".

Hall of the Mountain King [MONORP] Empty Re: Hall of the Mountain King [MONORP]

The furfrou stepped out to confront the maiden in white, his eyes determined to remove the blockade in their path. The furfrou stood there, awaiting a command from his owner, who was waiting for a move from the froslass. It was a moment of stillness before Justin figured the swaying pokemon was allowing him the first hit. He thought for a moment, trying to configure a way to deal with this unknown creature, he finally came up with a good first move to test this strange pokemon.

"Sand Attack!" He spoke quickly, hoping to get the move on before the froslass could react. Duke gave a bark of approval as his paw slid across the dirt mountain floor and swiped it in the direction of the froslass. The pokemon gave a yelp in disapproval and leered at the furfrou for dirtying it and blinding it slightly.

The furfrou flinched, his paw raised as his defense was lowered, "Again!" Justin called, making Duke snap back to his senses and swipe some more sand into the frosslass once more. The maiden gave a screech of disapproval before swiping its arm across the air and causing a wave of icy cold wind to shoot forward and strike the furfrou. The cold winds had continued even past Duke, and struck Justin, his entire body shivered as he clutched the sides of his arms as he hugged himself in order to keep warmth.

"Again!" He ordered, the furfrou gave a hesitant nod before once more scratching sand from the earth below him and flinging it into the frosslass's eyes. The icy mistress suddenly lashed forth in an astonish attack, but missed due to the amount of sand blinding and hindering her eyes and thus her aim.

"Tackle!" the coordinator commanded. The furfrou obeyed, using the close range of the pokemon attempting to attack him to attack himself. The furfrou charged forth, ready to hit the pokemon with a move powered by his normal type. He was surprised when he found himself running straight through the strange pokemon. He could hear his owner curse before demanding him to return, the furfrou was hesitant, but after another icy blast stuck him, he decided it was best after all.

Justin returned the furfrou to his pokeball, "Ghost type.." he muttered, the tackle having been ineffective against the pokemon. He watched the frosslass, as it watched his blurred image from its own eyes. Justin was thinking, it knew a rather cold move, and judging from how it was in a snowy area such as this, odds were that it was an Ice Type.

"Ira, You're up!"

Justin flung the pokeball into Duke's place, a hound of flames bursting from the pokeball and glaring at the icy pokemon. The froslass could not exactly see what this pokemon was due to the amount of sand within its eyes, so unleashed a frantic blast of icy wind towards the new pokemon on the field. Ira took the attack, but little damage was dealt due to her fire type.

"Flamethrower!" Justin commanded, noticing the froslass's watering from the sand's eyes widening. Ira opened her gaping jaw and unleashed a column of flames upon the Ice type. The wild pokemon yelped as the heat of the flames stuck it out of the sky, causing it to fall to the ground. It looked up from the ground, angered, and sent a strange shadow towards Ira.

Justin had no idea that the attack was Destiny Bond, an attack that takes down the attacker of the victim with it, and ordered his houndour to use Flamethrower once again. The column of flames struck the Froslass once more, dealing a critical hit, but still managing to keep itself going. The froslass was getting fed up with its attacks being ineffective and missing, and decided to try and stall the boy out.

Doubles of the froslass began to appear around the place, the froslass giving a snicker as it thought it had the trainer in a corner once more. She was proven wrong as the trainer recalled the houndour, and sent out a lillipup! She was getting sick of this switching of pokemon, she gave a screech as a red mist surrounded the lillipup, preventing it from switching with a Block attack.

The lillipup didn't seem to mind, as it watched the mist surround it with its tongue hanging out the side of its mouth. It gave a playful yip before standing up, looking at the climbing number of Froslass as it surrounded the pup.

Justin waited until the froslass was finished with its double team, the signal coming with a sly snicker from the froslass. That snicker and smile faded when Justin shouted, "Odor Sleuth!" The lillipup's nose glowed a bright green as it began to sniff the air, and the doubles faded from the lillipup's view as his nose revealed the true Froslass.

The pup gave a smile, before dashing forth in a tackle attack, the odor sleuth now exposing the froslass to normal type attacks. The icy mistress gave a screech as it was tackled again and again, as her attacks seemed to miss again and again. The froslass felt her health nearing its breaking point.

She gave a enraged glare at the lillipup as it charged forward for an attack, and sent the strange shadow forward towards the lillipup that affected it without the strange pup knowing. The lillipup slammed into the froslass, knocking it into a rock and causing it to collapse, fainted.

Justin smiled at his victory, "Great job Be-" his praise was cut off as his pup began to screech. Dark electric like volts were coating him and sapping away its health. Justin rushed towards Beezlebub, wondering what had happened and if his pokemon was okay, "Beez!" he cried out to the lillipup. The only response was a small whine as the field disappeared and the pup collapsed, the Destiny Bond having taken its toll on the lillipup.

Justin picked up the small fainted pup, confused as to what had just happened to cause the pup to end up like this. He did not know much of what to do, or even if his pokemon should have some major medical care after that. He was forced to simply return the pup to its pokeball, and hope to the gods above that his gift from his dead mother and one of his long time partners would be okay...

"Just take a rest Beez..."

A wild Cleffa is lost!
Hall of the Mountain King [MONORP] 173
Level 1 || 3 EXP Giveout
Reunite Cleffa with it's family.
Male || Friend Guard
Pound | Charm | Heal Pulse

This young Cleffa is wandering through the snowy woods alone, with a worried expression on his face. He walks in zig zags, appearing to look for something, or someone in particular. It is presumably lost...
