    Elizabeth Rose was born in a vast, faraway region to a loving mother and father, who were both Pokemon enthusiasts -- her mother, a beautiful woman named Belle, was a well known coordinator and trainer in the area and her father, an easygoing man named Charles, was a scientist. However, rather than starting the story with a happy couple and their only daughter, fate intervened and made it so that it became only a happy daughter and a bittersweet father, for Elizabeth’s mom passed away during labor.

    And so it went, little Ellie growing up rapidly without any main female figure in her life, though this did not affect her greatly. Her father cared for her immensely (he was the one to give her the red cloak), though because he had a job that was a good distance away, he was constantly away from home most of the time. To improvise, he left his two Pokemon, a Gardevoir and a Persian, to keep Ellie not only safe but entertained as well. They excelled at this, and were the main source of happiness in Elizabeth’s early childhood, easily where she first began to prefer Pokemon over people.

    This was how it went for 10 years, nothing exciting or interesting happening in her life that made for a thirst of adventure close to Ellie’s heart. At the age of ten, however, during summer break (one of the few times her father was home), Charles took notice of his daughter’s ever growing interest in Pokemon and her adoration for them (he did not seem to mind that she preferred them over actual humans), and decided this was the perfect time to tell her something important: His job required him to move to an entirely different region, one by the name of Rinko, to study Pokemon there, and if Elizabeth would like, and once they arrived, she could revive her mother’s dream of being the best?

    Ellie found that idea most pleasing.

    So then followed a small period of packing and whatnot, Gardevoir and Persian looking on as Elizabeth heaved boxes on top of one another determinedly in an effort to help her father’s workload already. They were moving by ship, landing in a harbor town by the name of Cadencia, and leaving to a village named Seicho. Ellie was excited, oh yes, more cheerful than she had ever been; for she knew exactly what her father had meant by “reviving her mother’s dream of being the best” -- he had indirectly asked if she was ready for her own training journey, apparently just like he and his wife had done as kids.

    Get away from the boring life of lounging around all day and instead go on a courageous and fun filled journey with Pokemon companions? Of course she wanted to. So just as they finished up packing (took a good week), Mr. Rose offered one other present to his daughter: her very first Pokemon, which, as Ellie discovered after excitedly throwing her first ever Pokeball down to the ground, was a bright, docile Riolu. The Pokemon had looked around oddly, clearly not quite sure where it was, but caught the twinkle of pure happiness in the little girl that stood before him and the nod of the man behind her. Immediately it understood as well as Ellie did: it was her very first Pokemon "in the history of ever". With an overjoyed squeal, Elizabeth confirmed and started the unbreakable bond that was to form between her and the newly named Rishi by giving him a joyous hug.

    Eight months would pass before Elizabeth actually started her journey, however, having wanted to leave on her 11th birthday as the ultimate present to herself.

    During this period Ellie also managed to convince her father on showing her how to catch a Pokemon properly, and successfully caught two new Pokemon: a peppy and protective Growlithe by the name of Nero, and a stubborn but hardworking Taillow named Vayu. Both Pokemon were instantly attached to their owner and got along well with one another, and with so many companions in her hands now, Ellie began to properly delve in her knowledge of Pokemon and how to properly take care of them, whether they were wild or not.

    Despite having caught two other new friends and teammates, Elizabeth's relationship with Rishi remained the strongest of the three, and only continued to strengthen every day, what with the occasional "sneaking out" (Gardevoir or Persian were always watching, even during this) to train or when they came across a memorable visitor and their own teammates in the village. Ellie remained close with her father as well, sensing that he was plenty more at peace with himself with staying longer and more days with her, occasionally offering a few tips to her on how to treat her creature friends or willing to play a game of hide and go seek.

    But Elizabeth knew her father had felt a slight sense of remorse on the day she was to leave for her journey at last, feeling for once that he did not want to let his daughter go. Still, with time this had become her dream, and as much as she loved her father, Ellie had no intention of continuing to stay. So with her usual and symbolic red cloak drapes on, her belt lined with her Pokemon's Pokeballs, the pouch filled with only a single memento (a picture of her mother and father together), and a great, affectionate hug to her father for the last time in a long while, Elizabeth Rose set off on her 11th birthday with her most trusted companions by her side and into the vast, unknown region of Rinko just waiting to be explored by her own fragile little hands.

    And so... it went.
