Name: Ophelia Summers; goes by Chase - her middle name, as she hates her given name.
Age: 15 (16 after catch up Mono-RP)
Gender: Female
Occupation: Trainer, Co-ordinator, (Will be a Psychic-in-training.)
Personality:
Chase is a very perceptive individual and is very skilled when it comes to reading other people through body movement, tone of voice and other involuntary reflexes. As a result she is very observant and it can often seem like she knows almost everything, or is 'psychic', though in actuality she is nothing of the sort. Chase is very laid back when around those she is comfortable with, such as friends or her Pokemon, but can often seem cold and distant to those she has only recently met. She has a fear of large crowds, sometimes ending up experiencing panic attacks depending on the size of the crowd, As a result she dislikes being around large numbers of people but knows she needs to find the willpower to overcome this fear if she wishes to pursue entering contests as well as battling gyms. She has often been jokingly called a human lie detector as she can tell when most people are lying.
Likes & Dislikes:
Chase loves being around Pokemon as a result of her mother's daycare service. Over the years she has been around many species, even just for a day or two each, and finds herself appreciating each one for their unique talents and appearances. However she is and has always been closest to Ditrysia, (a Metapod) as Ditri is the only one who hasn't been reclaimed by their trainer a day or so later. As a result of her love for Pokemon, Chase also loves being outdoors as she can explore the many environments that Pokemon call home. Chase also loves mostly anything that has a fruity flavour and enjoys snacking on berries she finds. Unfortunately after moving to Cysil City when she was younger she had less opportunity to find said berries and had to purchase them from stores within the city.
Due to events in her past, Chase extremely dislikes people who are overly selfish, especially if they will resort to any means to realise their ambitions and goals without any concern for the people around them and the effects that their actions could have on others.
History:
Chase comes from a small but hardworking family who weren't as wealthy as one might expect from someone in her father's career. Formerly living in a small house near a forest when she was younger, Ophelia's mother owned a small pokemon daycare. During this time, Ophelia befriended a young Caterpie and would spend most of her days outside playing with the pokemon. However, her father was soon offered a well paid job in Cysil City and so the family opted to move there so that they would be better able to provide a good future for their child, (Ditrysia -the Caterpie- came with Ophelia, not wanting to leave her human friend). Whilst here, Ophelia's mother started up another daycare and Ophelia's father started at his new job. Her father was an engineer and businessman who, as days went by, often had visitors to the house to discuss his work. Unfortunately, a lot of these people were more focused on how much money they were getting than her father and his family's welfare and so when Ophelia was younger, she generally stayed away from them.
As time went on however, shadier and shadier people came to the house, the company that Ophelia's father worked for having become slowly corrupt, unbeknownst to her father himself. One bright morning a young woman dropped a Kirlia off at Ophelia's mother's pokemon daycare. Ophelia spent the day playing with Kirlia and Ditrysia, and became curious of the way that the Kirlia seemed to always know what was going on and what others were feeling. She wondered if she could somehow be like that, so she could help her father realise that these people he was working with weren't truly his friends. Over time she learned how to tell what people were feeling and found herself able to read people by their body language; through this she also became easily able to tell when most people are lying. Proud of her progress, she and Ditrysia began listening in on the meetings her father had with his business associates. [In once such meeting, a 15 year old Ophelia (Now preferring the name Chase) burst in and declared that the associate visiting the house was lying, unable to watch her father being manipulated by these people any longer. As the long moments drew on, Chase became aware that his body language portrayed no shock at the revelation; he alerady knew. The corruption within the company he worked at was a result of an organisation calling themselves 'Eclipse' and they had been blackmailing Chase's father to help them create special pokeballs that were capable of bypassing the safety net that normal Pokeballs provided to trainers who had already caught a Pokemon; the safety net that prevented others from capturing an already captured Pokemon. The visiting man, angered at Chase's interference, set his Gurdurr on Chase. However as the Gurdurr advances, the Metapod in Chase's arms evolves into a Butterfree just in time to stop Gurdurr with Confusion. Chase's father, infuriated that the man would attack his daughter, finally plucked up the courage to say he was done, quitting his job right there on the spot much to the visiting man's shock. Chased by Ditrysia, the man and his Gurdurr left the house, leaving Chase and her family in peace.
After this incident, Chase's father applied for a smaller job at a small engineering company and Chase discovered her interest in psychic types, the interest stemming from the use of Ditrysia's Confusion in that previous confrontation, as well as her own skills in reading others. Curious about the power of this mysterious type, she conveyed her interests to her parents, who supported her as she looked into psychic types, occasionally playing with those that would come and go in her mother's daycare, until one day her parents gave her an egg. With almost sad smiles, they explained that within the egg was a psychic Pokemon, and now more than ever, Chase was ready to go out into the world and discover new things and explore new places. Delighted, Chase and Ditrysia set off, with the egg, to begin their very own journey.]

She was at a busy festival and lost her parents in the large mass of people after letting go of her mother's hand. She was surrounded by people she didn't know, each of them trying to ask her where her parents were or take her away, to the festival's security team. Chase didn't understand most of their intentions at the time and assumed they were malicious, becoming fearful of those around her in this vast sea of faces, until it eventually deteriorated into her first panic attack. Luckily her mother relocated her and found her again before anything could happen, but Chase hasn't been the same around large crowds of people since; this fear nowadays only accelerated by her ability to read people through their body language. The skill gives her a way to know who she can trust and in a thick crowd it is impossible to use it.

Nature/Personality: Ditrysia is a very friendly Pokemon but is also very protective of Chase as the two have known each other since they were both small. A caring creature, Ditrysia almost takes on a sort of mothering role when it comes to Chase and her other Pokemon.
Amani the Meditite
#307 Meditite, the Meditate Pokémon (♀)
Level: 1 (Egg)
Moveset: Bide, Meditate, Confusion, Psycho Cut
Abilities: Telepathy
Nature/Personality: Not yet hatched.

Upon approval i'm basically going to write a Mono-RP of some parts (marked in [ ])of her history because of the constraints of the character bio; I gotta use it to evolve Metapod and have Chase develop her curiosity for the psychic arts, fuelled by her ability to read people. And then she'll recieve the Meditite egg as a gift from her parents and decide to travel the region to learn more about psychic types and also participate in gyms and contests and shizz |D

Oh also, last note. To clarify, Metapod does not have a hidden ability so I assume both hidden and normal abilities would be shed skin, however Chase's Caterpie had it's hidden ability and so Butterfree would have it's hidden ability when Metapod evolves.
