Personality: AJ, quite frankly, is a jerk of jerks. He’s cocky and overconfident, seeing himself as the best pokemon trainer in the world, or at the very least, the soon to be best trainer in the world. AJ loves pokemon battling more than anything else, loving to defeat other opponents and show off his abilities as a trainer. He also has a short temper, getting mad whenever someone questions his strength to much or when others call him by his actual name instead of AJ. AJ especially hates it when others make fun of his size, disliking the fact that he was so small. Despite acting like a huge jerk, he does follow the rules of whatever he does and hates others that disregard the rules, seeing them as complete cowards that aren’t worth his time.

History: AJ grew up in Saffron City with his mother, father, and older brother. They lived normally, with his older brother making fun of AJ’s short size constantly, which is why he hates it when others do the same. His father was a cocky powerful pokemon trainer who AJ admired in his childhood. His father was also a master martial artist, having never been defeated once before in hand to hand combat. AJ saw how popular and strong his father was and someday hoped to be as strong as him. He eventually had his father start teaching him mixed martial arts so that he could begin to become as strong as him. AJ rapidly learned the different aspects of martial arts, becoming a masterful fighter much quicker than many others due to his determination. During this time training with him, AJ also started to take on his father’s personality, becoming incredibly cocky and over confident.  However, AJ also wanted to become a strong pokemon trainer as well, so after mastering martial arts, he looked in a nearby forest for a pokemon partner to battle with. Eventually, he came across an lone egg in the wild, which AJ ignored at first, until the egg hatched into a Heracross after he passed it. Having seen his father use a Heracross before, AJ instantly caught him and began training him for battle. The two spent days and days of their time training, becoming stronger and stronger as time passed on. As AJ had done when training with his father, the Herecross which was eventually name Hermes, began to take on Aj’s personality, becoming cocky and overconfident in his abilities, especially when he developed all of his attacks. The two battled any opponents that challenged them, whether in pokemon battles, or martial arts fight, with AJ and Hermes winning almost every time. Having become dissatisfied with the level of ability in Veilstone now, AJ decided to leave his hometown and travel into the world in search of stronger opponents in order to prove himself as the strongest trainer ever.
Extra: AJ is proficient when it comes to fighting, having been trained by his father in mixed martial arts.

Pokémon Nature/Personality: Hermes is practically the same as AJ in every possible way other than the fact that he’s a Heracross and not a human. This is most likely due to the fact that AJ was the main person around him after hatching from his egg, so Hermes grew up and adapted to AJ’s personality. He’s just as cocky and overconfident, thinking that he is the strongest pokemon in the world with the strongest trainer in the world. He also loves pokemon battling just as much as AJ, using every chance he can to show off his power. Though he’s best buds with AJ, he does tend to chuckle whenever someone makes fun of AJ’s height, not being able to resist how funny his reactions are.
